Mariela Lairet´s gallery is a cultural space that invites the public to contemplate contemporary art, created by artists who set challenges for themselves,and they dare to manifest their works in differents media, evolving their expression and varying their reflections and concepts as they grow and develop their work.
MIA Art Collection, the collection of art founded by Chilean philanthropist Alejandra Castro Rioseco, who has more than +900 works of art created by female artists, presents a virtual exhibition inside her MIA Anywhere Virtual Museum with artists who explore feminist demands through their work.

Affective Alterations
What is the role of material culture in understanding the past, with a female point of view? ‘Affective alterations’ is the name of our new exhibition inside our MIA virtual museum that explores this question.
Mia art collection is happy to present the incredible exhibitions directed by the gallery @adngaleria “She, the eye, the finger, the hand” , with works by feminist artists María María Acha-Kutscher, Núria Güell and Margaret Harrison.
During our visit to Berlin and the first art fair that took place after the covid19 pandemic hit, we joined the Berlin Art Week 2020 fair to visit some of the artists present in the MIA Art Collection, such as Mariela Scafatti (@scafatiscafati ) and Ana Daganzo(@anadaganzo), the latter artist represented by the Projekteria Gallery of Barcelona.
We are so happy to launch our new MIA Anywhere Virtual exhibition “What do you see when you look”, with two amazing artists: Edurne Herrán from Germany (@pittussi) & Ana Daganzo from Spain (@anadaganzo).
Our MIA Team seat down and talked with Japanese artists Mari Ito, who is part of ‘The fragrance that flowers emanate’ virtual exhibition inside our MIA Virtual Museum.
Within the art world I feel very free. Through this, I feel the possibility of unleashing my imagination and emotions. Through my works I want to present my world, my thoughts to the public. Offer them the possibility of entering it to reflect and feel something new.
The title of this exhibition proposes a tour of the different fragrances emanating from the flowers of the Japanese artist Mari Ito, understanding it as a journey into the interior, not only of the artist but of the Japanese people of today. Bearing in mind the importance that Japanese society affords to the collective or community, when it comes to showing emotions, in many cases, Art is an essential tool for transmitting certain thoughts or feelings. Thus, the artist Mari Ito makes use of such an instrument to offer us the aroma of her contemporaneity.
